Clinical Nutrition
Clinical nutrition uses food and nutritional supplements for preventing and treating health conditions. It examines the link between diet and health and is based on the principle that good nutrition is the foundation of good health.
Food has therapeutic properties, although these are usually slower and less dramatic than herbs or nutritional supplements. But food has one of the most profound affects on all systems of the body and if used correctly, other treatments are required much less.
Nutritional supplements are sometimes needed to help rebalance the body, while we work on diet and lifestyle changes. Supplements should usually not be taken long-term, but rather used as a temporary treatment. What you take and for how long, depends on your unique health circumstances.
